Mechanical Technician

Come and join AJW Technique Europe, a newly launched European facility, located in Slinfold, near Gatwick Airport. The maintenance, repair, and operations begin with a specialisation in battery repair, including deep cycle, top charge, cleaning, re-blocking, regular service, overhaul, test, and recertification for all commercial aircraft main, auxiliary, and emergency power supplies.

The facility has been strategically positioned to meet the needs of AJW Group’s flagship customers. AJW Technique Europe will deliver the same outstanding customer service and quality that customers of AJW Group’s state-of-the-art, MRO facility, AJW Technique, in Montreal have enjoyed for almost 10 years.

By joining us as a Mechanical Technician, reporting to the Workshop Lead, you will be inspecting, repairing overhauling, testing, and certifying aeronautical mechanical components.

What you will be doing

• Perform certified tasks on aircraft components

• Follows up on snags, tasks, repairs, and rectifications.

• Provide status of work including special update requests

• Analyse and recommend improvements and innovative methods to increase production efficiencies

• Previous electrical work or understanding would be advantageous.

• This role is lifting heavy batteries and you must be able to lift a minimum of 20kg.

• High levels of attention to detail.

• Working with passion and enthusiasm, the role holder must lead with role model behaviour.
