As part of our Digital & Technology team, the 1st Line Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations while contributing to our digital evolution.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people, and supporting the technologies that drive business performance. You’ll gain exposure to both traditional IT support and the automation tools that underpin AJW’s future-focused strategy.

What the Role Involves:

  • Responding to support requests from colleagues across the business, providing clear and friendly assistance

  • Triaging and resolving incidents, or escalating them to the appropriate teams when needed

  • Fulfilling service requests such as system access, hardware setup, and software support

  • Supporting key tools such as our ERP system (Quantum), Microsoft 365, and internal applications

  • Maintaining accurate records of issues and solutions, contributing to a shared knowledge base

  • Working within an ITIL-aligned framework to help ensure reliable, consistent service

Job requirements

About you

  • Experience in a customer-facing IT support or service desk role

  • A collaborative, patient, and problem-solving approach to technical challenges

  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and business software tools

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly

  • An interest in technology and a willingness to learn on the job

  • A proactive mindset, with the confidence to ask questions and seek support when needed
