Job description
The opportunity
As an Inventory Project Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting our internal teams and valued customers by delivering expert advice and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. From managing component lifecycles and procurement to handling loan and exchange activity, you’ll help drive performance, reduce costs, and support the delivery of our contractual commitments. This role also offers the chance to get involved in special projects that shape how we work and improve our service.
What you’ll be doing
Support key projects aligned with SIM and MRO objectives
Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external partners
Monitor and manage shelf-life expiries for critical components
Review and recommend improvements for Rotable and CR material floats
Oversee procurement related to materials
Ensure timely and cost-effective closure of loan and exchange activity
Manage accurate monthly invoicing for exclusions, including AOG-related activity
Collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to offer practical solutions
Deliver accurate reporting and data insights
Negotiate effectively with suppliers and customers to achieve the best outcomes
Job requirements
About you
Strong knowledge of AMOS, including confident system interrogation
Background in rotable and repairable procurement
Experience with inventory modelling and analysis
Knowledge of maintenance planning and supply chain operations
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Commercial awareness developed through customer service or sales account management experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Excel
