Senior Manager- Component Operations

The opportunity

Would you like to join a globally connected aviation business focused on operational excellence, technical performance, and complex component support operations?

We are looking for a senior aviation operations leader to oversee and evolve a high-performing technical operations environment supporting global aviation customers. This role is suited to someone with experience gained within leading airline, aviation technical services, aftermarket, or large-scale operational environments who understands how to drive performance, reliability, supplier governance, and operational efficiency across complex component programmes.

Candidates from structured airline or technical operations environments, including those with experience in large international aviation organisations, will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and optimise integrated component operations across technical coordination, supplier management, logistics, and operational delivery.

• Drive operational performance, turnaround efficiency, reliability, and customer service standards.

• Build strong strategic relationships with global suppliers, technical partners, and operational stakeholders.

• Develop operational governance, KPIs, reporting structures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support commercial performance through effective operational planning, supplier oversight, and cost management.

• Work closely with technical, quality, supply chain, commercial, and executive leadership teams on operational strategy and service delivery.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational scalability, and service enhancement.

• Lead and develop high-performing technical and operational teams within an international aviation environment.

• Ensure operational activity aligns with regulatory, quality, and compliance standards.

About you

• Significant experience within aviation component operations, technical services, operational support, or integrated supply chain environments.

• Strong understanding of rotable component lifecycle management, repair coordination, technical operations, and aviation supply chain performance.

• Experience operating within highly regulated and process-driven aviation environments.

• Strong knowledge of supplier management, operational governance, and technical performance management.

• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational delivery, customer expectations, and financial performance.

• Strong leadership capability with experience managing cross-functional operational teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and executive-level functions.

• Previous experience within internationally recognised airlines, aviation technical operations, or large-scale aviation organisations would be highly advantageous.
